That answers itself. […] We cannot do this. We do not have the money. Congress doesn’t understand that we can’t afford to double the program every three years.” Yes, if we just cut food stamp funding, that will make people not be poor and hungry any more. Problem solved!
- Stop Confusing Democracy and Liberty – The Tyranny of the Majority is a perfect expression of democracy. As is mob rule. Promoting democracy over autocracy is a good thing, overall — but just as liberty means the freedom to do stupid things, democracy in and of itself is not a panacea.
