First off, I do appreciate Rick Perry's wife trying to defend him. But the defense comes off more as whining than an actual, y'know, defense.
Basically, it boils down to "he's been busy" (to remember the pre-packaged three key points he started to make?), and the other candidates are more experienced at debates (which experience Perry might have matched had he been willing to debate his Democratic rival during the last governor's race in Texas).
Everybody glitches. Everybody brain farts. On the other hand, the President is not "everybody," and the "I've been to busy to prepare and I'm too inexperienced to debate well" doesn't exactly read like a resume for someone you want to be sitting in the White House and engaging with domestic politicians and foreign leaders. #ddtb
