Beautiful. Or, if not that, the awesome, in the true meaning of the word.

#BAFact: Galaxies sometimes collide, triggering massive, violent – and beautiful – bursts of star formation.
In a dance that takes a billion years to play out, entire galaxies will sometimes collide, their gravitational embrace creating havoc as they swirl to and fro. One of the best examples of this is the Antennae, two formerly spiral galaxies caught in flagrante delicto as they merge into a single object. The vast forces at work have slammed huge clouds of gas together, triggering immense regions of star formation, lighting up the pair like a cosmic neon sign.
