If the vote for women were being debated today, I suspect there are plenty of modern conservative pundits (male and female alike) who would echo the very same arguments made against it a century ago.

Marchers were ridiculed, tripped, and shoved by a large unruly crowd of mostly men, and the mistreatment of the marchers amplified the event into a major news story. What began in 1913 resulted in the Nineteenth Amendment in 1920.
