We are, unfortunately, probably not going to see it opening night.
On the other hand, we’ll probably do what we did last year — see it in SoCal during the week, then see it again with Mary when she comes up for New Years.
Not a bad arrangement, that.

Seeing LOTR during the day worked wonderfully when I went to see the first one on opening day. There weren’t many people there, and the ones that did show up were all computer geeks skipping work… almost every tech type person in Jacksonville. We wondered aloud what would happen if a computer crisis came up somewhere since there would be no techs in the city to fix it.
Heh.
We will be, unfortunately, frantically packing to catch our flight to California for the holidays — and desperately trying to avoid the inevitable “Oh, my God, you’ve got to see this movie, it’s incredible!” folks.
Hey! Let me know when you get out here! Maybe we can catch a Monday or Thursday matinee!
