(Actually, I remember the first time I read a book — it was about Popeye, and I would have been in no later than Kindergarten. I've been nose-deep in one ever since, hence my favorite Disney princess, Belle.)

Being a Lifelong Bookworm May Keep You Sharp in Old Age
I was reading in Kindergarten. I know this because I got kicked up to first grade because of it (a mixed blessing).
Now that I spend so much time in MMOs and the like, I don't read as much as I used to. Instead of two hours or so a night, I read for maybe 30 minutes. This means that my stacks of unread books are growing mightily. 🙁
I also work some puzzles before bed. I expect this also keeps the brain sharp (to a degree) in our dotage. I just do it because it's fun.
I was reading at three — I remember distinctly, a book about red boats and blue boats. The sharpness in old age? Maybe for some. I’m feeling a bit dull, myself.
