Game stuff to write up.
Weeks of comic book backlog.
Three or four other books I’m in the middle of.
Etc. Etc. Etc.
Bad timing for The Lord of Castle Black to come out, I guess.
Not that it’s going to stop me from reading it.

Margie’s reaction: Hey, who said you get to read it first?
When I mentioned that I was the one who had pre-ordered it, she indicated that was merely part of my husbandly duties.
Go Margie!
Yes Dave, you have too much to do to get IX up and running.
NPC’s to create, organizations to set up, and if you are just like Ivan from Dork Tower, holes to plug.
P.S.
Plus reading that much Brust prior to starting up a Spycraft game might lead to some …um…Oddness.
Spycraft done in a Dumas style for example…
“So, You have come that execute me at last.”
“But of course. It is the thing that I have pledged to do!”
“I would have expected nothing less.”
Yeah, but then I’d have to worry (again) about Randy running a character named Mario.
Mario…
…That would be funny!
When was the first time Randy Did (tried to do) Mario?
—
Just be on the look out to see if he comes up with “Elly Quinn”…
…Or Doyce doing “Handsome Rob”…that would be priceless!
Well, he was suggesting at one point a wheelman code-named Mario (after Andretti, he claimed, but that didn’t fool me).
