Just for completeness’ sake, the other doings on our trip to Faerie …

  • Saturday night was the KOA Wrap Party, which was the ostensible reason for our coming out this weekend. For those thinking all we did on this trip was dine out at faboo restaurants, dinner this night was BBQed ribs and various other left-overs (including soda and jug wine) from the camping trip in June. Still very yummy.
  • In years past (at least, as of a decade ago when I used to attend the KOA Wraps prior to moving to Denver), everyone would bring their photo albums, plus any extra photos. This year we were high-tech — folks brought their notebooks with their electronic photo albums, and we plugged into an LCD projector and did a slide show for the whole group. Keen.

  • Sunday was a laze-about day — popovers in the morning, struggles with PCs in the mid-day, swimming, and a trip to the local Islands for supper on the way to the airport. Mary was able to spend the day with us, which was nice. Kitten got mild sunburn from all her time in the pool (the one day we’d neglected to sunscreen her).

  • The trip home was uneventful, aside from some very boisterous passengers. We actually packed to check this time, gathering together the stuff I’d left behind from the Comic-Con trip, along with a few other odds and ends. I nearly left my Palm behind at the Ks in our rush to leave, but they made a quick courier run back down to the airport (SNA) to drop it off. We spent enough time awake at home to take out the trash, double-check the mail, go through the answering machine messages, and brush our teeth.

  • Ironically, after our trip out there, my folks are flying into town here this weekend. Hope they don’t get sick of seeing us …
