Teen idols

At the risk of sounding terribly stodgy, I have to say that I differ with Planned Parenthood in not thinking that the next Harry Potter book should include sex education.

Not that sex ed (both at school and at home) aren’t important — but so’s math, and I’m not particularly interested in looking in on calculus classes at Hogwarts.

Should sex rear its head (so to speak) at the school, I do hope that it’s handled responsibly or with an eye to consequences. But, frankly, the thought of Severus Snape “lecturing on the facts and biology of sex” (and, no doubt, the potions and poultices to prevent unfortunate results) would probably be enough to make the entire school celebate (if not end the population of wizards in a single generation).
