My head remains jampacked with either snotty cotton or cottony snot, I’m not sure. I also remain annoyingly achy. And ill-tempered. And not sleeping well.

Margie’s coughing has provoked her earlier back pains. Neither of us feel particularly better than we did yesterday, which is not good.

And Katherine is getting cranky and teary, which either means that she’s coming down with it, or that she’s getting very weary of our being sick. Which is quite understandable, given how we feel about it.

*sigh*

I feel up to playing CoH (which is step up from earlier in the week), but that’s about it. Hopefully we will all take a huge spike upwards in wellness over the next 24 hours …

  1. During my bout with the flu, Vicks DayQuil Liqui-Caps Flu got me feeling good enough to teach my classes. There are many similar products which I have not tried, so I can’t give you comparative data. I think most of the similar products are probably equally effective.

My teaching day is more limited than a full day in the office, and I could go home and take a nap after four hours of teaching, then do my grading at home. One dose of the drugs was good for about 6 hours, after which I went back to feeling miserable. Your mileage may vary, but if you find yourself still sick Monday morning and you must go in to work, the drugs may help.

I also took a dose of Vicks NyQuil Liqui-Caps Flu to help me get to sleep in the evening, when my symptoms were keeping me awake. Since sleep seemed to be the most effective treatment for me, something that helped me get to sleep was a good thing.

    Get well soon!

  2. Everybody and their brother recommend NyQuil for this sort of thing and, for some reason, it’s something we never try.

For what it’s worth, we’re both feeling much better — i.e., I’m running at about 85% and Margie’s about 75%. Which is all good.

  3. And, so far, Katherine appears to be well — just cranky over Mommy & Daddy using a lame excuse like “I feel like … um, a word I shouldn’t use in front of you, honey” over and over and over again this weekend.

(“I wish I were sick, too, and Mommy would stay home all day with me and take care of me.” No, dear, really, you don’t.)
