Walking through Costco, the subject of Valentine’s Day came up. Margie said she wanted to talk with me about it, and I said the timing was perfect, since it was tomorrow.
“Valentine’s Day is tomorrow?” Katherine asks from the cart.
“Uh-huh,” I reply.
She whispers conspiratorially to me from the cart, pointing toward a floral display on an end cap, “Let’s buy Mommy some flowers for Valentine’s Day.”
She even picked out which bouquet to buy, and Mommy was truly touched.
She was also awfully damned cute this afternoon decorating Valentine’s cards for her preschool class (cards via workbook via Nona — thanks!).
