One sign of the economic times – I am getting a *lot* of cold calls at work from consulting / staffing firms.

I refuse to buy a $300 coffee maker. I’d rather call Starbucks to have coffee delivered to my doorstep and save the counter space.

It’s remarkable to me that I’ve been doing karate for over two years now. That’s longer than about 95% of my hobbies. I blame Katherine.

The Twitterverse seems to have reached a critical mass around me. This week at least. Next week, who knows?

Got a really nice note from my boss about some long and heretofore largely thankless work I was doing at his behest. That’s a good thing.

I really need to get my Twitter / Blog interface working again. (Mutters to self irritably.)

I could have used about oooooooone more day of weekend. Lot’s of stuff done, but too much not by choice, witha busy week ahead.

So, off to the vet, never fun, esp. with your elderly, weight-losing, still active and alert, but with an odd lump on his jaw kitty.

And it’s a perfect day to have left my office card key at home or in the car at the train station. We have such a lovely vestibule, anyway.

I do like winter, but it was nice today to walk at lunch without gloves or jacket. Though always with a hat.
