All I want to know is why we spent all that time Friday night hunting down Paragon Protectors in Crey’s Folly, in order to get the Infiltrator badge (thus the Conspiracy Theorist accolade) when …
… well, last night, we ended up slogging against endless PPs on various missions against the Crey. Except these were all purples. Psi-clone and Amorpha, joined by Dubh Bas and Toy Maker. We did pretty well — no TPKs, but close, and everyone died at least once (DB and A managed multiple times) — and still everyone managed to level, a tribute both to the huge amount of XP we were getting plus the new “half debt in mission” rules.
So PC/A both hit 37. Hurrah! Now to figure out how to deal with all those yellow SOs without outright replacing all them with 40s. (Yes, I know how to do it, it’s just annoying.)
Yes, when I hit 37, somebody pointed out to me that, instead of tossing out all my current enhancements to replace them with 40s, I could wait one level and combine them all wih 40s. Much less wasteful.
Now, of course, Avo is rich. If you need some “cash” for enhancements, just ask. That 22 million is just sitting there.
For cases where I have multiples, I will combine them to get them to white or green; the gaps I’ll fill with 40.
Where I have singletons, if they are yellow, then I’ll evaluate if they’re critical (just do it) or nice-tos.
I could probably afford to replace all of them, but I just object to “wasting” stuff.
I am still following the Doyce approved method of enhancement buying. I get so few natural so drops for Puck that I almost never get anything that I can use to “+” a slot.
It was a thrill to run the Bas’ this weekend and get all the training enhancments that I could use as soon as I got them.
Glad to have DB along with us. Good stuff.
One advantage to having a lot of alts, and having retired several of them, is that the accumulated wealth of the retired ones has been recycled. That, plus occasional bonuses from Jackie, means that most of our characters are comfortably well off.
PC/A each dropped a million infl. on cleaning up our SOs this level — which left PC, at least, with over a mil left over, so we’re not hurting at this point.
