Puck Bunny dinged 50 last night in an all-star Psychic Babbage (a fine coincidence of initials there) mission.
(And let me say three things: (1) never seen Babbage drop so fast, (2) it was great that Margie was able to get home just in time for the festivities to start, and(3) it was a fine personal moment having Psi-clone team-Deceive Babbage.)
So, on to the photos:
Puck dings 50. She was about 40K under the level when we started, but we were able to get here there after the third or fourth mob. There should be several shots of this — I noticed more than one hero sitting out the actual melee in order to point their cameras.
Multiple teams here, of course, formed by starting a team then sending folks into the mission and dropping there. I was personally privileged to be on the “main” (PB) team, but everyone had a blast.
L-R: Justice Stryke, Unknown Badge, Seventy-Six, Sword of Asgard, Kessa, Puck Bunny (yay!), Hyperthermian, Psi-clone, Noelle Frost, Malcalpyse, Avocet, ShockTherapy, Stateswoman, Li Nakamura, Amorpha.
All of which reminded me of: And there came a day unlike any other, when Earth’s Mightiest Heroes were united against a common threat! On that day The Avengers were born – to fight foes that no single hero could withstand!
I mean, frankly, there’s no threat I wouldn’t stack this 15 up against. Bring on the Rikti Invasion II!
Focus on Puck, looking forward to … the future? A vacation? FP Tribuneship? A tall, frosty Molson?
A bit of post-ding hi-jinx. She deserves it.
Great fun, PB (and BD): thanks for the invite. Hopefully we can get Amorpha and Psi-clone up to there in the not-too-distant future.
He he he he. 😀
Thank you very much Dave, it was a great set of folks to do a mission with. I mean, there was no way Babbage could stand up to 3 psyche ‘trollers. It is always a joy to see him get taken over and bash everything in sight and do a stomp and kill all the Clockworks around him.
It was nice that almost all of my favorite people were there for that, it made me happy to have everyone there. And it was great to do that thing with no deaths…good RP…and bad Jokes too. (WillO’wisp logged on just as we finished up, he said that he tried to get home as fast as he could…but it wasn’t to be.)
So much fun.
And then the promotion on top of that was special as well.
I really want to thank the East Coasters for staying up way past their bed times to be there for that. The whole time balance thing was the biggest headache that there was…which is a good thing really.
And yay for MK and the early flight…I was glad to have her there for that and was bummed for a few days when it looked like she wouldn;t make it.
So yeah….Next on the docket is Psi and Amorpha…and again thanks everyone for being there. 😀
I’ll confess to being mildly jealous of PB dinging before PC. Not that there’s anyone to blame for that but me, just … I remember when she was just a lowbie … (sniff) …
That all said, it was just incredible seeing all these folks there. It was also funny watching everyone watch *you* before the ding, to catch the actual event>
Good times and good fun. And not bad XP, either, for those of us still worried about such things.
Yes…
I think it hit me when I looked at the Global tab after Babbage (Habit just to see the XP) and see the long list of “0 xp – 209 prestige” on the screen.
That was just such a shock to see after so long.
Also, went back to Galaxy to get trained (where Puck entered the game after being warned about starting in Atlas), and got a Photo with Puck and Back Alley Brawler that I will have to post. While I was there, some lvl 10 tank came up to me and asked for some influence…I was in such a good mood that I dropped 3 99,999’s on him.
*snort* Yes…at one point in time Puck was *way* behind all of your alts, and I don’t think that she passed Psi and Amorpha until about lvl 37..and you both are still within a few bubbles (7 or so?) of fifty….so not that big a deal.
Though, CoV and running Zot gave you two a lot of time to catch up. ;P
So…54 weeks after creating Puck, and 1 year after she joined the Phalanx, she made it. And I still find it funny that I had to go back and redo my App…and still barely made it in to the Phalanx. Three months after that, Prefect…and 9 months after that, Tribune. Not bad at all really.
I think PoKinetica summed it up best when they was out here. “If we had known that you were such a cool person, a great Roleplayer, and freaky good at being an officer, we wouldn’t have given you such a hard time on your application and interview.”
Yay, Puck!! So much fun, even with a blinding headache it was a blast to be there! Will look for my screenshot later, and see what I got.
Hope the headache’s better, Kate.
If it’s ok with you Dave, I’ll put the pic I took up here.
I was happy to get home in time to actually be in on the festivities. And
I have to agree with the statement of facing -any- challenge with the crew that is pictured above. I especially had a good laugh at the Monty Python bit during our praising of the new H ot C.
I loaded an added pic here:
That dude is not going anywhere …
I’ve also gone ahead and posted a news story (linking to the above pics) up in the forums.
Super Minty!
😀
Very well done Dave, and thanks again.
Holy cat’s that is a ton of Psyche Army people.
I think that was another bit of fun from last night…The best controllers/Defenders in the Old and New Alliance where showing off all their goodness last night. I mean, to Have Mal…who I learned a lot from…*especially* Pet Management…and Psi along who has been great to be on a team with, was great fun. To have a power set that everyone claims is nerfed beyond use (Psyche), and an AT that is called “Teh Suck” (Controllers), and to have four 49/50’s on one team was whole levels of awesome.
I hope that your headache went away with a good nights sleep Kate.
Totally did, thanks. And I still haven’t gotten off my ass to get you the pic I took when you dinged, but I will soon, I promise!
If you forward a copy to me, I can post it here/on the forums.
