Stayed up way too late last night playing CoH. Well, I wasn’t planning on staying up that late, but when I signed on I saw the Hostess Heroes were up and about, so I just had to join in the fun.
A long, exhasting slog — literally, as I was both very tired and Ho Ho was chronically short on endurance — but I got her up to 17, which was fun. Good team which managed to avoid deaths despite some very red/purple characters and no Princess Peep (or other strong healer) to keep us going.

I started my new job that day. I’m working the evening shift, and thought I’d be lucky to find another HH on at 10:30 PM PDT. Imagine my surprise when I found myself on a full team!
Now I have to figure out who Bazooka Josephine is. I went to lunch with an old CoH friend and a new CoH friend last week. Old friend discussed some character concepts suitable for the HH, one of which was a bubbler based on the Bazooka bubble gum character. Naturally, I assumed my old friend was the player of BJ, but that’s apparently not the case. So… is it the new friend, or somebody else who was thinking along similar lines? Hmm…
I may have to see about getting Fig Neutron up in levels to serve as a replacement for Peep, or for when we split into two teams (assuming I get Monday nights free). I logged her in today, and she was lvl 9, with no xp toward 10. Ran a Skulls mission, and now she’s about 10% of the way there.
And I noticed that Captain Funyun has been booted for non-playment. Eh. I never liked him much anyway.
But a great name …
I believe Bazooka Josephine is MacroLass. I could be wrong (I usually am), but I think I followed some converational threads to that end.
Ah, yes. That waould explain the reference to “lazy tanker ML”!
What happened to Funyon Avo?
I’d been focusing on Brownie Points. Captain Funyun and Fig Neutron were languishing, and when I hadn’t played CF in over 30 days he was expelled from the HH. I pulled FN out the other night, so she’s still in the SG. I suppose CF could be re-inducted, but I’m not sure it’s worth it. He was my first HH, but he never really clicked for me. His concept was rather… bland.
Ok…that is odd.
I will look into it next time I am on, and we can get Funion back in.
I mean, there is no reason why we should have a booting policy for a fun sg.
