Yes, I am still playing …

I did hop ontp CO briefly the other day — and found myself stuck with Psiclone (Lvl 12)  in Canada with the choices of (a) doing Lvl 13 mishes, (b) trying to redo the Lvl 12 “two people recommended” mish that I’d died in last time., or (c) taking out 100 Viper agents.

Sigh.

Hopped over to the Desert. Which, after much searching for missions, I determined meant going wading in the radioactivity pools, one of my least favorite areas to date.

So I signed on as Force of Will, did some research and respec on her TK Blades setup, and ran her from 7-8 in a short interval (even, as noted below, Vanquishing Ferd), before having to sign off for dinner.

My gameplay of late has been restrained, and will be for a while. The flu knocked me out pretty much all last week. But at present, the biggest time competitor is NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month, in which I try to write a 50K novel in 30 days.

But even if that’s keeping me from playing CO and CoX, there’s a tie-in: my novel stars my perennial CoX main (and CO toon as well), the ever-popular Psiclone (spelled in Cox with a hyphen due to duplicate naming).

I’m covering that over in my Doing Write blog, which has a link to the work-in-progress in case you want to see what sort of crappy fan-fic I can write when I put my mind to it. 😉

  1. I find at lower levels the missions that say you need multiple heroes for really do (at least 2) until you out level them by at least 4 levels. My main is currently at 22 and will hit 23 soon (Come on Orbital Laser!). Didn’t you try out some of the werewolf madness in Canada? It’s supposed to be fun! I only have a few more souls to save during the Blood Moon event (hopefully tonight) to unlock the celestial set early.

The event is fun, if a little clunky in places. I expect next year will be much better. (Particularly they need a log in explaination of what there is to DO in the event like CoX does.

  2. Ummmm…

You know you could have asked for help, I could have gimped down one of my toons to help you. 🙂

  3. Did some of the Blood Moon stuff tonight. Much better since the updates. Was quite enjoyable. freed the souls of five undead heroes. 8 to go!

Instructions still weren’t very clear, but very helpful folks willing to group and explain.

Got to sidekick, and that was nice.

BD, I don’t know how to contact you in game. I’d like to team up with you sometime.

  4. I completed the In Memoriam Perk last night (all 13 heroes souls freed) and had a great time doing it! Special note: All the crypts holding the souls spawn at 15 or 18, except the last one (Vigil), this spawns at 27. Be prepared to have higher level friend along. I sidekicked with a lvl 29 member of the Repeat Offenders and we kicked booty.

And now I have the Celestial power set unlocked early, but no time to play with it. I want to go see the Halloween event in Canada (hunting puppies! OK, werewolves.) And I might dip into the PvP area for the first time just to get a look at the zombie map.

But first . . .a few mishes to hit 23 so I can get my Orbital Laser!

  5. Sooooooo disappointed when I dinged 23 . . I have to wait one more power tier to get the big laser . .. I apparently have too many PA powers and not enough Gadgets.

That said, I did pick up the munitions bots which will definitely up my boss battle damage output, and officially makes my character the bane of all henchmen throughout the game. (And kicked the Shoulder Launcher power’s butt all over the training room. SL is a VERY lame Tier 3.)

Now I am the King of AoE: Sonic Blaster (specced to an AoE Cone), Micro Munitions (i.e. Cloud o’ Death), Mini-Gun (absolutely WICKED AoE Cylinder) and now Munitions bot, which are, essentially, two more Mini-guns while in Gun Platform mode (I nearly wrote Fun Platform!).

    Die Zombies, DIE!
