Signed in briefly as Velvet last night. Quick checked the Global Friends list, most folks were on, and … there was Avocet.
No, not on the list (well, yes, there, too), but standing right in front of where I’d appeared, at the Steel Canyon side of the Boomtown gate.
We chatted a sec, then I bounded off to sell some stuff.
Swapped over to Truly Unstable, went running from Galaxy to Atlas to Kings Row …
… and ran into Avocet again, standing in the tram station, as his Power Fists alt.
We chatted a second, then I ran off again.
I signed off again shortly thereafter. But by that time if I’d run into him one more time on the way upstairs to bed, I’d have not been completely surprised.

Yes, I always find it amusing when people/characters you know go wizzing by you in the game. /though you seem to have hit the jackpot with Avo last night.
Also, last night I saw Hang time going through Hollows with two folks in tow. One being a low level Lee.

I was teaching my friend (also a Dave) how to use Global Chat, which reminds me of some questions I want to ask.
1. Three-Star Dave, Kazima and bd all showed up as Offline in GC yesterday. Doyce didn’t show up at all until he logged in. What would cause that?
2. When I expand the GC Friends list, it extends only to Level. If I collapse it and expand it again, it extends all the way out to Team Size. Is this so for everybody?

Well, Kazima would show up that way because Margie didn’t sign in. (One reason I didn’t stay on long.) I couldn’t see myself. Thought I saw bd there, but could be wrong.
I think the Global Chat window is still a little buggy.

I was wondering only about Doyce’s status; i.e., why he didn’t also show up as Offline, as the rest of you did that afternoon (I was afraid he had added me to his Global Ignore list because I interrupted his interviews the previous night). Sorry I wasn’t clearer.
