These will disapear in a hurry!
Ingredients:
- 6 c unsalted nuts (almonds, cashews, macadamias, and/or pecans)
- 6 Tab unsalted butter
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- ½ c brown sugar packed
- ¼ c water
- 1 Tab chili powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- nonstick vegetable oil spray
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 300°.
- Spray large baking sheet with nonstick spray.
- Melt butter in large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Add cumin, cayenne, salt, brown sugar, water, chili powder oregano and pepper
- Stir until sugar dissolves, about 1 minute.
- Add all the nuts, stir until butter mixture coats nuts thickly, about 2 minutes.
- Spread mixture in single layer on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake until nuts are glazed and deep brown, stirring often, about 25 minutes.
- Cool nuts completely on sheet, stirring occasionally.
- Place in 2 or 3 bowls to serve.
