I think I’d rather be Left Behind than be with these callous idiots

Les reports on a particularly disgusting (the only word I can think of it) page of people cheering the escalating bloodshed in the Middle East (along with sundry other disasters).  Why?  Because, well, heavens to Betsy, it must mean the End Times are upon us and the Rapture is at hand!

Is it time to get excited? I can’t help the way I feel. For the first time in my Christian walk, I have no doubts that the day of the Lords appearing is upon us. I have never felt this way before, I have a joy that bubbles up every-time I think of him, for I know this is truly the time I have waited for so long. Am I alone in feeling guilty about the human suffering like my joy at his appearing some how fuels the evil I see everywhere. If it were not for the souls that hang in the balance and the horror that
stalks man daily on this earth, my joy would be complete. For those of us who await his arrival know, somehow we just know it won’t be long now, the Bridegroom cometh rather man is ready are not.

Yeah, a shame about all that collateral suffering – but, glee!

Disgusting.

Considering that our foreign policy for the past 60+ years has been based on this premise…

You reap what you sow someone once said.

That forum is the scariest place I’ve ever been online. There’s faith, and then there’s delusion.

Whoa.

Looks like they may have removed that thread. I got a “no thread specified” error.

Naaah. They just merged a bunch of threads and moved them here. It’s now called “Events speeding up.”

I recognize the first few posts, especially the lady making with the Arsenio Hall “whoo-hoooo.”

Y’know, if the Rapture would only happen, we’d be rid of a lot of sanctimonious weirdos.

“Jesus! Lord Jesus! Oh, thank you Lord, for freeing us from the world below and gathering us up into your bosom — especially before all those other sinners and fornicators and the folks who will be left behind as the goats separated from the sheep.”

“Ah –”

“Oh, thank you, Lord Jesus, for giving us this early admission into your Heavenly Kingdom, in recognition of our faith and how we expressed it in our Godly lives!”

“Uh –”

“Oh, thank you, Lord Jesus, for …”

“Um, I’m afraid you got it wrong.”

“I don’t understand.”

“I’m, ah … well, you folks need a bit of extra work. So I’m pulling you from class early for, ah, some, uh, remedial work.”

“Remedial –”

“Yes. Compassion 101. Intro to Humility. Neighbor Loving and You. No One Shall Know The Day or Hour for Dummies. Like that.”

“But –”

“Don’t worry. We have some very nice teachers up here. And we do prefer mainstreaming populations like you, but you were, ah, disrupting the class a bit, and preventing the other kids from learning at the pace they can achieve.”

“But –”

“There, there, that’s it, I understand. Now, if you’ll just move over to the Short Cloud over there …”
