Kaua’i

So we’re going to be in Kauai this December — right after Christmas to after New Year. We’ll be down in Poipu, on the south end of the island

Anyone who’s been there have any suggestion for particular activities / tours / places / restaurants that they thought were particularly worth doing (or worth warning off from)?

  1. We enjoyed the Lilohani (spelling may be off) Plantation. There’s a sort of cheesy train ride that answered some of our questions about flora and fauna. The food in the restaurant is decent. We got a kick out of drinking beer at the farthest west brewery in Waimea. Beautiful grounds around the brewery, too! We made three, count ’em three attempts to see the view from the top of Waimea Canyon last March, but were thwarted by fog every time! Take pictures for us, ok? There are many other places we enjoyed — check out my blog from last March or April… Oh, yes, don’t miss Kauai Coffee Plantation. Pick up a pound of Peaberry for us and there’s a $20 in it for you…
