Much of which calls to mind all those "Warning Signs of a Stroke!" safety moments that occasionally get sent around through the office. Pay attention to those things, folks.
Again, here's hoping for a good recovery. It sounds, at this point, like most of the damage is with physical control, not cognition.

My grandfather had a stroke like that except on his left side. It was a long road but he was able to work, travel, and enjoy his life afterwards. It's not what anyone would want, but it definitely could have been much worse.
Yes. He seems to have his wits about him, which is the important thing I'd think.
