Actually, while most cats don't like water, tigers love it and swim very well. So that encounter isn't that odd.
Well, yeah, if you're talking all reality-based and everything. 🙂
On the other hand, if you were building an Encounter Table for Rivers (or Oceans), I suspect this one wouldn't be on the first draft of the list …
It also helps explain the existence of Krakens in mountain lakes.
Well, once you unleash them, they do tend to wander. I guess that's why they're called wandering monsters …
We need a wondering monster table, where they just come up to you and ask directions (or something).
