Sadly, given the hand-waving away (or, alternately, embracing) of Trump's problematic behavior, this Tom Tomorrow cartoon seems far too accurate.

That cartoon is realist art.
Perhaps…..but doesn't this apply to a huge group of politicians…on both sides?
+John Rothenberg I think Trump has taken it to new levels.
>Posting about politics on google plus
you can leave now,thanks
+Dave Hill Really Snowflake?? Why don't you focus on the mirror
Have you ever noticed that you don't open a social media and there aren't any anti Hillary or anti Liberal posts here?
I mean, Liberals were talking about acceptance of all and love, but then they don't get the president they want to so they go on riots? Oh yea guys, thanks for accepting us and love and shit.
+Dave Hill I do not agree with most of your politics, but I like the intelligent manner in which you communicate. I am tired of all the rhetoric from both sides. Added.
Google plus is super liberal. How many democrats do I have to block before G+ stops recommending them to me.
Another dumbass liberal still pissed off cause you all lost the election. I blame you for what happened today…the party of tolerance has turned into the party of hate, bigotry, and racism…ty for dividing our country you weak minded dimwitted asshole!!!
+Guadalupe Hdz Jr Dude, chill. How can you call yourself better than them if you are acting just like them?
+Noles I do wish that the "Recommended" bit were a bit more sensitive to my own political tastes. On the other hand, complaining about Google_ here in a comment (about someone you are suggesting you are going to block) doesn't seem productive. Perhaps a note in the "Send Feedback" function would be a bit more useful.
+Mrrgle The Mediocre, yeah I know, never scoop down to their level…but it's getting old already, specially after what happened today…but ty for the heads up
+Mrrgle The Mediocre
1. I see plenty of anti-Hillary (and anti-Liberal) posts here. Perhaps you should look harder.
2. "Liberals … go on riots" seems a rather broad over-generalization.
3. I accept any individual of good will who's interested in engaging in a conversation. People who are just interested in name-calling and liberal-bashing … not so much.
I don't think it is just Trump that has taken it to new levels. All three branches of the government have become almost purely party-line over the last 20 years. That's not really the way they're supposed to function. Yes, I agree that the impeachment process has become almost entirely a matter of party rhetoric, and not at all part of the checks-and-balances system it's written as — but so have pretty much all the rest of our systems.
