Now for something really weird: If I try those Google searches, I don’t get my site.

I think it’s the space aliens, playing with my brain.

What’s also weird is that, today, I’ve hit a new record of hits (47, appropriately enough, as of this writing). I have no idea why, especially since things were down around 20 the past few days. Not that I’m complaining, mind you.

I feel bad for all the #vets who are facing foreclosure due to the #Trump regime arbitrarily yoinking a VA debt program without replacing it (or even sharing if they *will* replace it).

On the other hand, I wonder how many of those vets voted for the regime, on the assumption that it would be only layabout libs who suffered under the new austerity.

Sad, though not surprised, to see #NaNoWriMo .org shutting down. They helped me in doing a lot of the #writing I've done. While they made some serious missteps in recent years, I'll remember their efforts before that with fondness.

I Am Old Enough To Remember ... when much of the security failure of 9/11 was blamed on the patchwork of incompetent privately-owned companies doing #AirportSecurity , where profit motive incented hiring the lowest-cost workers, rules were different from airport to airport, and nobody had responsibility or accountability.

Not that the #TSA is not without fault, but the idea that if we just go with cut-rate rent-a-cops we can be safe *and* save money is truly laughable.
