Here’s an amusing article, with a painful personal anecdote, on User Interface issues.

Many folks (myself include) rag on Bad User Interfaces, whether in software or in hardware. I can certainly appreciate (as the article demonstrates) how difficult coming up with a UI can be.

Heck, the whole issue of how a web page is designed (including, notably, this blog) is an exercise in UI — and we all know how easy it is to come up with a, ah, less-than-usable design. It’s something I know I keep trying to work on.
