There are a number of blog pages which have the little “Click here to donate a pittance via Amazon.” I read some of these. Some of them I read regularly (per the Link List o’ Regular Reading, off to the left).
Do I owe them my support?
‘Twouldn’t be much. But it might be nice to do. Might give someone a real feel more tangible than Hit Counts that folks not only like what they see, but want to see it continue.
I’ve vaguely considered doing something similar here. For me, though, it would just feel too pretentious. Besides, in many ways, I do this for me. It would be like asking people to pay to watch me … ah, do something self-indulgent.
Somehow, though, it doesn’t feel that way when visiting elsewhere.
I dunno.

Yeah, but there’s always the part of you that wonders, “Could I make this work? For real, not just for fun?”
Frankly, if I had any income, I would support the micropayments model of a penny-per-read… and yeah, probably here, too.

I wish there were an easy micropayments thang, too (esp. if it included some parms for going back and looking at the page if it hadn’t changed, or with payments only occuring daily, or other further refinements).
Ah, well. It will happen. Eventually.
