Xircom introduces an 802.11b sled for the Palm m500. Which means that you can do wireless networking with your handheld anywhere that has an available 802.11b network.
Now, I really don’t want to do e-mail on my Palm (which isn’t an m500, but let’s leave that aside). Or web browsing. And while I have an 802.11b network at home, I don’t see it as something I’d do much with related to my Palm.
But, damn, I’ve got a jones for this widget. Sort of like an expensive sports car that I know I won’t fit into (let alone afford), it just pushes all my techno-geek buttons.
Or, as Homer would say, “Ooooooooh … bacon ….”
