The maker of M&Ms is polling the world to see whether the new color to be added should be purple, pink, or aqua.
Of course, all of those colors (21 in all) are made already. You can actually special-order color combos through the Internet, and the candy store on Main Street at the Magic Kingdom at DisneyWorld has all the colors of the rainbow (and a few not found in nature).
But as far as the the Regular Bags from the Supermarket Shelf? Currently it’s at red, green, blue, yellow, brown and orange, with blue having been added in 1995 (replacing the poor, forgotten tan, who had replace violet in 1949). Purple was the second choice in ’95.
