Okay, I still have some basic column/size/width problems going on with the stylesheet. Please stand by …

UPDATE: Okay, got those problems solved (by learning that I really couldn’t do what I wanted, which kinda sucks), but I’m not sure I like the color thang. Or how the banner looks now. Or the whole aesthetic.

Damn. That means a redesign. Guess I know what I’m doing tonight.

ANOTHER UPDATE: So, whaddaya think?

This would qualify as v.4 of this page — not bad for the first six months (or just a tad short of that). The first was a variation on the Stain Glass option from Blogger. Then there was the Green Theme. Then the Disney Colors. And now … well, call it Quiet Notes.

I’m not happy with the banner — though the colors actually seem to match with the overall color scheme. Too much emptiness. I really don’t want to redesign the thing, but I may have no choice. Maybe something with a picture …

Color scheme overall should satisfy those who found the previous “Disney” version a bit garish.

One change is that the links on the page no longer have the underline format, but instead are bolded (they’ll underline if you run the mouse over them). It violates the “standard” way things are done on the Net, but it looks nicer.

Further feedback welcome, before I go through all the comments and archives to apply the same styles.

  1. I like it. It was a little yellow at first, but I like it now. I definately like that you’re losing the underlined links — as you know well enough, I don’t use them when I can avoid it, because I don’t like them. I’ve had underlining shut off in my web-browser options for 3 years, so I guess the page always sort of looked like that anyway.

    Good job. V. nice. 🙂
