Next Wednesday evening will represent the second time ever something has happened — and the last time ever.
At 10:02 p.m., we’ll have 2002 2002 2002.
Or, written more conventionally, 20:02, 20/02 (to use the European nomenclature), 2002.
The last time that happened was at 10:01 p.m. on the 10th of January, AD 1001. And, until our method of recording time and dates changes, it won’t ever happen again.
Erm, what about 2112?
Well, that will be … er … different! Yeah, different! Because … ah … that doesn’t have … um … as many zeroes! Yeah, as many zeroes! Clear difference! I mean, jeez, what were you thinking of?
(Actually, that was Dave the Hubby, posting from Margie the Wife’s machine. Just like this.)
