As much as I love blogging, I think that the greatest value of the Net is to serve as a repository for cool information (cool defined as stuff I would blog about, of course).
As one example, AdFlip.com has images of famous ads, dating back to the 40s. There’s a vast wealth of data on these pages. I plan on spending several hours here some day.
As another example, Stefan Landsberger has collected all sort of Chinese propaganda posters. I love propaganda posters — there’s something very powerful, alive, and purposeful about them. In a world where art viewers are these days asked to impose their own interpretations upon the abstract, propaganda beats you over the head with an ideological club.
Upon consideration … I’m not so sure there’s such a difference between these two sites — though I think the original creators of the materials on both sites would probably be insulted by that observation.

Now if you could just find the religious tracks site your life would be complete.
I had some links to some Chicks Tracts sites, but I’ve lost them. I suspect Google could dig them back up again, though.
