It’s time for the Friday Five!
1. What is your favorite time of year?
Spring. I’ve become quite an afficionado of Spring since moving here to Colorado. I love the trees leafing out, the bulbs popping up, the general greening up and renewal of the world around, and the anticipatory excitement of being able to start working in the yard again (before the experiential drudgery of it kicks in).
2. What is it about your favorite season that, well, makes it your favorite season?
Heh. See above. Plus, I love the occasional snow storm and the moderate temps. Heck, I like thinking about going out golfing again …
3. What is your least favorite time of year? Why?
Summer. So … hot … can’t … move … sweat … bleah …
4. Do you do anything to celebrate or recognize the changing of seasons?
Change the flag out front sometimes. Margie used to do cool front door decorations (pre-K). Seems, though, that something a bit more formal and explicit would be a good thing, even if smacks of being (gasp!) a bit pagan.
5. What’s your favorite thing to do outside?
A lot of my hobbies tend to be indoor things. I think one of my favorite things is working out in the yard — planting, trimming, making the garden something to enjoy looking at.
