Lobbyists are busy trying to get the President’s ear, to make sure their issues are heard, to try to get some “air time” for what their employers or action committees want to see happen. Though many of them feel shut out of more traditional halls of power, they’re sure that if they can just get the President to listen to them, and then make a statement on their behalf, the American Public will get right behind them.
