The Monday Mission:
1. What caused your last case of psuedo-road rage? [sic]
I honestly don’t recall. I think I was in a pretty foul mood a week or so back when I discovered I had to do a bunch of work at the office that I really oughtn’t to have had to do, and so spent much of my trip home yelling at people. What about, I have no idea.
2. Tell me about one of your favorite television shows that was cancelled (past or present).
Hmmm. I know there have been zillions, but I’m drawing a blank here. I don’t watch that much TV (at least new TV), and once something gets cancelled and drops off my radar, it sort of drops out of my mind, too. I’m sure, though, I’ll think of any number of them once I post this.
3. Have you ever gone online and pretended to be someone else? What’s the story there?
I have an anonymous Yahoo! persona that I use to occasionally post comments on my company’s stock discussion board. I neither want to get in trouble with management (though I’m usually defending the company), nor engage in conversation about it with my workmates.
4. What was (is) one of your favorite Children’s books?
Yertle the Turtle. Very Greek-myth-like in its tale of hubris. I gotta pick up a copy of this for Kitten.
5. Can you recommend a CD (tape or otherwise) for me to listen to on the drive home?
Pet Shop Boys, Very. Great beat, great lyrics. On my regular rotation.
6. What is your online nickname and what is the story behind how you selected it?
I guess that would be “***Dave.” I think I’ve told the story before, but it had to do with creating a sig block and wanting it to align properly for those reading e-mail with variable pitched fonts.
7. Ever been bitten or stung before (snake, wasp, dog, etc)?
Well, sure, I’ve gotten bit by dogs (and cats) on more than one occasion. Goes with the territory of owning them. Never been bit by a snake. Never been stung by a bee or wasp or hornet.
BONUS: Does anybody love anybody anyway?
I do. Conveniently enough, I’m married to her. Oddly enough, both our sets of parents seem to be loving couples, too.
