I can’t really say anything …

Well, it was a perfect capper to a season that’s seen John rung through way too many changes, leaving him psychically punch-drunk. And the goings-on this episode aren’t going to help that any. Things get weirder, sadder, twistier … and end with the perfectly poetic cliff-hanger. Complete with the perfect final line.

What I will talk about is the insanity of SciFi Channel’s programming. We had all but the final four episodes of Season 3 run ending in December.

Followed by three and half months of nothing.

And then this month they’ve run the Final Four.

To be followed by a month of old reruns.

With Season 4 starting on 7 June.

If they hadn’t already picked up the series for two more seasons, I’d think they were trying to frelling kill it off.

Feh.

But it was a great closer.

  1. No, the odd scheduling was just the US. It was shown in England in its entirety.

And I’d bet the showing of it in the “summer” here is either due to it being Aussie (and it’s their winter), or it’s the way of SCI-FI showing new programming when everyone else is in reruns, ensuring them a good chance of a good showing.

  2. I think Julia’s got the right idea. Showing it to get max exposure.

Just watched it on tape last night. The last line was too good. Even missing critical episodes, it was magnificent TV.

There were enough surprises, and cliffhangers in the last ten minutes for three other shows.
