Katherine, a long time ago, figured out the “Daddy or Mommy pretending to be asleep” thing, and learned to imitate it (snores and all). Standard part of the Saturday and/or Sunday morning tumble-about-the-bed game.
So this morning …
KATHERINE: Night-night! [Plops her head down on Mommy’s pillow. Begins to snore.]
MOMMY: [Imitating Katherine, lightly slapping her on the back.] Wake up! Wake up!
KATHERINE: [Imitating Mommy or Daddy when she does that to them, lifts head up, swinging back and forth rapidly.] What? What? What?
Well, it was cute to us.
