There’s something charming about old graphic art. Yes, some of it’s ugly (and the self-selection process of history has meant that a lot of the junk hasn’t survived, but a lot of it has a simplicity in line, and a text that is both bold and yet doesn’t feel like the screaming overkill of some modern ads.
Makes you wonder what sort of ads from 2002 will be “collectors items” in 2099.
