I know that some folks find “rational animal rights activitists” to be an oxymoron, but, still … you’d think the folks who “freed” a bunch of minks from a fur farm in Iowa would realize the critters aren’t adapted to life in the wilds thereabouts, leaving them, or the vast majority, to die a grisly death on highways, from predators, or just plain ol’ starving.
Of course, if they were capable of surviving there, they might also seriously frell up the local ecosystem.
This has nothing to do with the rightness or wrongness of the fur industry. If you’re concerned about the animals, and decide to do something about it, your responsibility for what happens to them extends beyond that fence you just cut open.
