This weekend has turned out to be a huge RPG fest for us. Friday night was Doyce’s normal Star Wars campaign. Today we play Oriental Adventures. And yesterday …
(I note, of course, it was still less game-intensive that some folks in our circle, many of whom played other stuff on Saturday, too, when we just ran errands. But I digress.)
… we played some Living Force, two modules, again thanks to the GMing goodness of Doyce. Kicked off at about 1 p.m., ended at about 11:30 p.m. … and Kitten was up and running around and playing and being generally frenetic nearly the entire time, wearing out two dogs, a cat, and a 12-year-old. She finally crashed around 10:30, way past her bed time (and, of course, napless), and this morning, as of this writing, sounds to be just rousing herself, which is a record for her.
The game was much fun, natch. Margie and I had no LF characters, so we were starting off at 1st Level. We played a married couple, with me as short, stout Della, kind-hearted and chatty Scout, and Margie (her first time playing SW) as Woody, tall, gangly, demolition-obsessed Soldier. I won the table as best player first module (Rey justly winning the second module), and Margie was one of two players who figured out a particular puzzle and won a very nice stat-raising cert.
And then to home, bed, and blessed sleep. Until, of course, the games start today. Hopefully that will be a bit later this afternoon, giving us a chance to do some very needed cleaning.
Part of which will be some cleaning in the garage. We finally got our insurance check for the basement flood a year-plus ago, which means we can finally evaluate the damaged items we moved to the garage to see what can be cleaned and donated and what should just be tossed. Convenient, of course, that tomorrow is trash day …
At this rate, I just might get my car back into the garage by first snow.
