I haven’t given up my American citizenship even though I think our warmongering leaders are taking the nation in the wrong direction. I love this country and I want what’s best for it, but moving away doesn’t help anyone.
I love the game of baseball. Other than supporting the local college program (which I have done some), the pros are the only game in town (this may be where other pro sports have an edge on baseball – they’re not a monopoly). Baseball has been really stupid at times, but my local team leadership has done much more good than evil and I have to respond to that. I’m not sure I’d feel that way if I lived in Los Angeles or New York where ownership is much more cavalier with their fan base.
I was ready to turn in my season tickets if they went on strike. They didn’t, and I have to give them a chance to make this better. Otherwise, I lose something that I enjoy nearly as much as you’all enjoy RPS. Not that game merchandisers haven’t had their share of problems.
How can anyone stomach pro baseball any more? Why would anyone want to give these people a single dime?
You’re asking the wrong man that question.
