It’s finger-numbing cold, and drizzly, and overcast. The sidewalks were deserted as I walked to and from lunch. Cars had their headlights on.
I love this time of year. I’d rather have this than 90-degree misery any day.
Well, most days, anyway.

I’m just happy we’re having an actual “Autumn” this year.
Bah, humbug.
Bring back my sunny days…
Of course, today it was 80+ in Providence. Lou turned the A/C back on.
Oh, I want that! It’s 90 degrees here (Tampa) EVERY day. One day last week it was 89…I kept hoping to see it fall farther, but it is back to 90, 90, 90, 90, 90, 90…
My mom sent me pics of Colorado snow today.
…just send us enough cool air to be 88. That would probably make my day.
Well, what the hell do you expect when you live in a hell-hole like Tampa?
Yeesh. The Gulf Coast (and most of the Atlantic Coast) and I just do not get along well. Nice people. Crappy climate.
Actually, I didn’t notice how thick and humid the air is here until my trip to Denver this past April. Ryan & I were talking to a friend outside the other night. I asked Ryan later if he thought the friend even noticed how yuck it is outside, he said probably not.
One gets acclimated pretty quickly.
I love the dry air here. It can be rough on sinuses (and woodwork), but I love it.
Heck, I feel sticky and humid when we visit Southern California on holiday, now.
I love cold and drizzly days, as long as I can be cozy inside. We had to turn the air conditioner back on yesterday, unfortunately.
