There’s always a temptation to villify and demonize your opponents, and during the first Gulf War, the “Saddam=Hitler” rhetoric got a little bit thick.
But if even a quarter of the stuff in these articles is true, keeping major WMDs out of this nutcase’s hands is even more imperative — and knocking him out of power altogether seems like the only, dare I say it, sane thing to do.

I find it interesting that Uday’s newspaper has been closed down for thirty days by the government. A bit of internecine warfare?
Uday is a real psycho, and this shows a lot of that, for certain. I’ve always felt we should take down Hussein; the timing now is the part I dislike, with bin Laden and buddies still running around free and easy.
Well, hardly “free and easy.”
It’s not clear that the bulk of the US military is needed in trying to track down OBL, unless they’re going to link hands and walk across Afghanistan and Pakistan. Only so many folks can be assigned to playing Whack-a-Mole at a time, and I doubt the search for OBL, et al., is suffering from lack of manpower or attention.
