Disney’s already feeling the heat over the Pooh rights imbroglio, and they’ve always been, ah, zealous in protecting their Mickey Mouse copyright (suing the snot out of day care centers with unauthorized wall decor, and twisting arms on Capital Hill to get copyrights extended again and again).
So it’s more than a little amusing that Austria is making a tongue-in-cheek copyright claim to Mickey Mouse after discovering an interesting 14th Century fresco.
Of course, knowing Disney, they’ll try to sue St. Christopher …
Oh, that’s good.
