Cold, snowy, icy, foggy drive into the office this morning — not nearly as bad as I’ve done in the past, but still a nicely tense way to start a long week.
My boss gets into the airport around Noon or so. It will certainly be a pretty Denver area he encounters, newly fallen snow here and about. I’m anticipating the streets will be okay by then — if not, it will instead be a stressful drive he starts out his Colorado excusion with. Bleah.
In that same note, we’re planning on having him over to the house for dinner tonight. We’ve had enough visiting dignitaries tell us how fun that is, in comparison to all the business dining they do, that it seemed the right thing to do (and kudos to Margie, natch, for the idea). If the weather is at all inclement, though, I’ll probably reroute the plans to someplace local — which is okay, since both the food and the cleaning will serve us in good stead as Margie’s folks begin their visit tomorrow.
At any rate, it gave me a good excuse to get my office cleaned up Friday.
