As the NTSB begins its probe into the causes of the mid-air small plane collision that occured over Denver last week, all the local pols are getting in on the act.
“What the mayor’s trying to get to the bottom of is what are things that can be done to give a level of confidence that this is very unlikely to happen in the future,” [Mayor’s spokesperson] Hudson said.
Let’s see, it’s happened twice in the past three decades — that sounds like it’s pretty unlikely to happen again, say, tomorrow.
Not to downplay is all or anything, but surely there are more immediate (if less publicity-generating) public safety concerns that Mayor Webb should be giving his attention to.
