Does anyone else find the following two statements from John Kerry just a bit ironic?

Statement 1:

“What I do regret is that this administration has not lived up to the standards of diplomacy set forth in the resolution,” Kerry told the Des Moines Sunday Register. “The president’s diplomacy has been completely lacking. […] The greatest position of strength is by exercising the best judgement in the pursuit of diplomacy ….”

Statement 2 (the second half of the last sentence above):

“… not in some trumped-up, so-called coalition of the bribed, the coerced, the bought and the extorted, but in a genuine coalition.”

Yeah, Senator — way to go with those “diplomatic” remarks about Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Italy, the Vilnius group of nations, etc. Really “diplomatic,” calling them “the bribed, the coerced, the bought and the extorted.” Too bad Bush can’t be as “diplomatic” as you.
