So we’re reading one of Katherine’s favorite Richard Scarry books for her bed time. There’s a page of various animals all dressed up in clothing of various jobs, and the text asks, “What sort of job do you want to have when you grow up?”
So, since Katherine’s been so articulate of late, I ask her that same question. “Which of these do you want to be when you grow up.”
She looks around, considering each carefully. What will she choose? Doctor? Cook? Photographer?
“That one!”
An auto mechanic? Hmmmm. Well, that’s not too bad. Working with her hands, dealing with mechanical things, and certainly auto mechanics are having to become computer and electronics experts as well. It wouldn’t be all that bad, if she were —
“I want to be a raccoon!”
Ah. My daughter, the raccoon.
Does that mean I don’t have to send her to college?
she could’ve chosen worse things to be.
leave it to a kid to bring everything back into perspective.
A raccoon??? When she could be a penguin?
Kids today.
I know lots of raccoons. What’s wrong with that. Excellent choice.

Hm, maybe that’s not funny. I thought _your_ entry was funny, though. *LOL*
