Well, we joined most of the population of the greater Denver metro area by going out today, running some long-delayed errands:

  • Milk: picked up some to supplement the supply Margie brought home from the Testerfolk.
  • Peanut Butter: bought more at CostCo. No need to break into the Jake supply.
  • Microwave Oven: ran out of steam before we ran out of places to shop for one. Probably going to get the same model as we currently have from Best Buy.
  • Photo scanner: Nobody has the one I’m looking for (the little HP 4×6 scanner). Hate to buy it from Office Depot, though.
  • Cat food: The cats are happy.

Going to the various stores was entertaining, as the snow was plowed inconsistently (in some cases some two-lane passages were one-lane bottlenecks). Further amusement came from the snow berms taller than cars up between the parking lanes, which made trying to spot one of the few spots available a real challenge.

There’s a lot of snow, a lot of water, but a lot of dry (narrow) pavement, too.

  1. Glad to hear you are free from your snowy prison, and I hope Margie’s cough has improved. WE had a fabulous spring day today, in the 70s at the beach. I know because I went to a Pomona Alum event that concluded with a picnic at La Jolla Shores. I’m not gloating, really.

  2. Margie’s cough has turned from a deep, rattling, productive hack to just an ever-present, omniannoying (to her) reflex cough. Alas. She opines that she is frelling tired of it.
