Truth is great and will prevail if left to herself. She is the proper and sufficient antagonist to error, and has nothing to fear from conflict, unless by human interposition disarmed of her natural weapons, free argument and debate, errors ceasing to be dangerous when it is permitted freely to contradict them.

Parody site? Go for it. Hacking the original? That’s an escalation I don’t think we really want to see, do you?

This fuddy-duddy moment brought to you by Dave. Now, get the hell of my lawn, you damned kids!

  1. Hm. 1) You linked to my main site url, not the post’s url, so your point may be lost. 2) I did not hack the website in question) (I would not know how). 3) I neither agree nor disagree with the actions of the hackers; I mainly wanted to do that little play-on-words with the David Bowie song “Cracked Actor.” 4) I did think it was funny. I have occasionally laughed at graffitti too, while disapproving of the actual act of putting graffitti on things.

    Just wanted to clarify.

  2. 1. My mistake. I’ve corrected it.

    2. I didn’t think (nor say) you had. Though it might look like I did if I was linking to the page as a whole. My apologies.

    3. Ah. Didn’t catch the reference, not being a Bowie fan.

    4. I thought it was funny, too, and, as I said, I appreciate the sentiment behind it, if not the method.
