I haven’t been blogging about Iraq, or WMDs, or anything being attributed to Paul Wolfowitz, or mass graves of children, or other legacies of Saddam’s government, or how the occupation/liberation is going, or anything like that.
It’s not that I’m not reading about them.
It’s not that I’m not interested in them.
It’s not that I don’t have opinions about them.
It’s just that I’m really not interested in talking about them at the moment. Not out of shame, or fear, or disgust, or righteousness, or anger. Just fatigue. I really don’t want to talk about it.
Yet.
And, after all, we’re going to be hearing about it for at least another 17 months. Why rush?
UPDATE: And, yes, I know that I’ve just talked about it. That’s the extent to which I want to, right now. And, yes, I’ve turned off the comments on this post. As I said, I don’t want to talk about it. And, in fairness, if you want to check out some sites that demur from the points made in the links above, Scott‘s got ’em.
